Norwegian Culture & Gastronomy event Spain 2024

Culture and gastronomy are two of the most important motivations for Spanish people to travel. At the moment Norway is  perceived as a pure nature destination and we think there is a potential to improve the quality of Spanish tourists if we manage to transmit to the sector the possibility of combining nature with culture and gastronomy in their packages. 

Bodø 2024 and Bocuse d’Or in Trondheim give us a big opportunity to promote culture and gastronomy in the Spanish market. With this activity we will brand Norwegian culture and gastronomy among the Spanish travel trade and will network the Norwegian sector working with these themes with potential tour operators and travel agencies who could include more culture and gastronomy products into their programs.

We will use this activity to present both events to the Spanish market as a tool to enhance the awareness of Norway in terms of culture and gastronomy.

We will also organize a site visit to a Spanish destination with big expertise in this kind of tourism and this will be an opportunity for participants to learn from this destination about their strategy, product development, marketing activities, etc.

Day 1 – 27 February

Day 2 – 28 February

Morning event: Networking & workshop
Evening event: Presentation of Norway as a Culture & Gastronomy destination, Presentation of Bocuse d’Or and Bodo 2024 program.
Dinner focusing on Norwegian local gastronomy

Day 3 – 29 February

Departure to the destination
Lunch, site inspection and presentations, lab
Dinner & overnight

Day 4 – 1 March
Morning activities
Afternoon return to Madrid

With this activity we try to reach tour operators and travel agencies working with FIT and high end products and with a focus in gastronomy, culture, sustainability.

Price: EUR 1200.- per company per person
Minimum number of companies: 6
Maximum number of companies: 15
