NORTH AMERICA NORDIC ROADSHOW

USA/CANADA

DATES: 25–27 October

Ambitions

  • This activity will help us reach out to relevant tour operators we wish to work with in the long term.
  • This activity will help us educate the local travel trade on the direction of our strategy.
  • This activity will help generate sales and help the Norwegian tourism industry get back on track quickly after 2 years of the pandemic.
  • This activity will help the Norwegian tourism industry develop the right products for our international guests, by keeping up with the market situation
  • This activity will help the Norwegian tourism industry adapt its products to our strategy and gain an understanding of how to implement changes in a B2B perspective.

As this project will be in partnership with the Nordic countries, it will follow the Nordic Sustainability Principles, which centre on cooperation, social sustainability, quality and safety, commitment, and climate change.

Participants – buyers

  • Tour operators
  • Travel agencies
  • Independent agents

We invite travel trade decision makers, product managers, destination managers, and salespersons with a special interest that have Norway in their portfolio and who would like to upscale, as well as tour operators that have expressed a desire to include Norway.

  • Workshop

After 2 years of only being able to host virtual events, this will be the first opportunity we have to get out in the marketplace and re-introduce Norway to the most important buyers. This will be done in conjunction with the rest of the Nordic countries. As we look to exit the COVID crisis, this is the perfect time to stand together as one and promote the region as a whole.

Sustainability

The US is a geographically fragmented market spanning an entire continent. Meeting with a selection of the biggest tour operators would require substantial amounts of travel and time to cross the country. Participating in USTOA brings the US’s largest tour operators all into one place and is one of the most efficient and sustainable ways to meet this critical mass of decision makers all at once.

Participants – suppliers

Participants – buyers

  • Tour operators

Large size tour operators that either sell Norway, or that have the potential to begin selling.

Activities

  • Event
  • B2B Fair

US tour operators are eager to re-connect with Norway and get updated on what they have missed during the COVID years. This event will allow Norway to stand together with the Nordic countries and promote the region in front of the most important tour operators in the country.
