Background & Goals

The most important value for Visit Norway in 2020 is sustainability.

We invite sustainable destinations and their selection of small providers with sustainable products to promote and sell their products in the Spanish market.

GOALS ARE:

•Profile Norway as sustainable destination amongst the Spanish travel trade.
•Promote and sell actual products
•Knowledge transfer between Norwegian companies and the Spanish market about sustainable product development, packaging and marketing.

Type of activity

Workshop

The workshop will be divided in two sessions. In one session we will invite local experts to give a presentation about sustainability and there will be the opportunity of individual meetings at the end of the presentation. The second session will consist on a presentation about Norway as a sustainable destination followed by a more traditional workshop with Spanish buyers and the Norwegian destinations and suppliers.

The workshop is targeted for our sustainable destinations who will be able to promote and sell their products under a sustainable perspective. Each destination will be able to bring one small supplier that are the best example of sustainable products in the destination. It can be accommodation, activities, restaurants… etc.

Tour operator and travel agencies that have Norway in their portfolio, but at the moment not including consciously sustainable products. All the actors in the Spanish travel market interested in sustainable inputs.
