Norway Digital Day - Brazil & South America

Date: 30th of November (Brazil)- 1st of December (Argentina)
Due to the pandemic is not feasible to organize a physical activity in Brazil yet but an important digital event is essential to keep the brand awareness of Norway among the travel trade and also to incentivate the production of packages to be ready for the moment when travel overseas is back in this country. The event will cover both tour operators and travel agencies with a different communication concept.

Date: ongoing, during Autumn 2021
The activity will be tailor made for the companies involved. The only condition is that the theme will be stay longer and sustainable travel.

Activity 1 - Norway Digital Day Brazil 

After a long time without any communication in Brazil, it is time to «relaunch» Norway in this market. COVID situation is expected to start recovering after our summer and we need to bring Norway top of mind in the Brazilian travel trade, both tour operators and travel agencies.

The event will be structured in three parts.

Webinar to the travel agencies. Giving a general overview of Norway and our new strategy and focusing specially in the partners in the event.

Product presentation to the tour operators. This will be more specific and product oriented and it will be the Norwegian partners who will present their products to the Brazilian tour operators.

Workshop. Digital meetings among Norwegian suppliers and Brazilian buyers.

Participants - suppliers

Type of companies: activity companies, attractions, carriers, destinations, hotels & other type of accommodation, incoming operators- national. 

The workshop will be a perfect venue to all those companies interested in promoting their products in the Brazilian market. We encourage small activity suppliers to be represented by an incoming agency or by a DMC unless they have the capacity to deal directly with the tour operators. We will focus on tour operators selling packages where tourists stay in Norway at least 5 nights. The participants will be tour operators selling Norway or with potential to start, travel agencies producing their own packages, normal travel agencies with high potential to Norway and incentive organizers.

Participants - buyers

Type of companies: tour operators, travel agencies, event/incentive agencies, independent agents.

We will invite exclusive tour operators working with the high end segment, tour operators specialized in Northern Europe, round trip tour operators selling Norway as part of their European packages will also be invited but they will not have a strong focus from our side. Tour opeators specialized in FIT, travel agencies specialized in Norway producing their own packages, incentive travel agencies

Activity 2 - Monthly webinars Brazil & Argentina

COVID recovery process in Argentina and Brazil is going slower than in Europe but Norway needs to be present in tour operators and travel agencies minds when travel is possible again. We need to communicate in these markets with the slogan #DreamnowTravelLater. Brazil and Argentina are small markets for Norway but tourists from these countries are high profile, high income and high profit for destination and travel companies in Norway. We need to profile Norway and give reasons for a longer stay so that tourism from these countries to Norway can be sustainable. We will organize monthly webinars in both countries to raise awareness about Norway.

6th of October: Winter and Summer (regions can participate)

26th of August: General presentation of Norway with focus on sustainability
7th of October: Winter and Summer (regions can participate)

Type of companies: carriers, destinations, incoming operators regional & national

These webinars can be an interesting activity for destinations which have traditionally been in tour operators programs but also for new destinations. Interesting for luxury hotels and luxury activities and products. Also interesting for incoming operators specialized in overseas markets.

Type of companies: tour operators, travel agencies, event agencies, independent agents

All travel trade can be invited. Webinars and product presentations can be tailor made designed for each destination/company.
