Nordic workshop Germany

This workshop will be a very good networking-possibility that will help you to get in contact with buyers from the German market.

The workshop will  place physically in Frankfurt am Main.

This event will be conducted as a seminar with dialogue between suppliers, tour operators and experts from the German Travel Trade. This seminar will be digital.

Background and goals - Nordic workshop

In collaboration with the Nordic neighboring countries Denmark, Iceland and Finland, we are arranging a "Nordic Workshop" on 7th of September 2021.

Here, suppliers from the Nordic countries have the opportunity to meet tour operators and travel agencies from all over Germany. 
 

The number of places are limited to 10 companies from Norway in order to ensure a good balance between suppliers and buyers, and thus provide for a good workshop. We are expecting around 40 of buyers to join.

If we get more company interested in joining than the capacity allows, we will need to select the suppliers that will be attending upon the following criterias:

  1. Ensuring a balanced mix of type of companies represented (activity providers, destinations, carriers, incoming operators, accommodations etc.)
  2. Ensuring that Norway as a country is well represented (by having suppliers from the whole country – Northern Norway, Trøndelag, Fjord Norway, etc.)
  3. Suppliers offering a sustainable experience/product, by being certified or other, will be prioritized.
  4. At the end, first come first served concept will apply.

Type of products: your products should be adapted to thick tourists and bookable for tour operators or travel agencies from Germany. The tour operators expect that the prices for the products are ready for the coming year and that they can order online or get an answer within 24 hours. Often, they are interested in new products or packages that contain activities. 
The workshop is suitable for suppliers from Norway who have long experience in the German market and want to nurture their network and also for suppliers who are relatively new to the German market, but who are informed about what German sellers expect.

It is expected that around 50 tour operators and travel agencies will participate in this event. 
Some are "big players" while others are small and specialized in the Scandinavian countries. Some have long experience with Norway while others want to include Norwegian products in their portfolio for the first time or want to expand their offerings.


Background and goals - Day of competence

Through this day, Innovation Norway Hamburg will provide relevant knowledge about the German-speaking tourism market, current trends and will invite  relevant tour operators and tourism experts on the German market.

Market insight is the focus of the day, and topics for presentations will include among other things trends and year-round tourism.

We will invite professionals who will inform us about trends in the German market and give us insight. It is expected that 4-12 tour operators will participate in this event.
Knowledge development is the purpose of the event, but networking between you, other Norwegian players and the industry in Germany (possibly also Switzerland and Austria) is also an important part of the day.
