Workshop "A taste of Norway"
Date: 9th - 10th of September, in Copenhagen
Thursday 9th of September we invite to a mingle event at the Royal Norwegian Residence in Copenhagen, to «detox» our digital fatique, and catch up!
We are then ready for a busy day with workshop meetings the following day (10th of Sept) at Villa Copenhagen.
Plan B: in case travel restrictions occur, we will arrange the workshop digitally, possibly then as a Scandinavian workshop with buyers from Norway, Sweden and Denmark together.
Background & goal
.Denmark is reopening, vaccine passport is implemented, and the date 26th of June is planned to be when Denmark again is open. For Danes, Norway is nr2 on the list of safe destinations, after Denmark. Tour operators are unsure how the summer will be, since Norway is delaying an opening date, and info about vaccine passport. Travelers might decide and book their holiday before we come with news.
Bookings for winter 2021/2022 and Summer 2022 looks good for Norway.
After more than one year of a digital presence, the wish for physical meetings and socializing is something we all hope for. Therefore we think hosting this physical event is appreciated both by suppliers and travel trade in Denmark.
Participants - suppliers
Norway is considered a safe destination, with beautiful nature. The need for increasing knowledge and awareness about Norwegian food, culture & activities to become an attractive destination for travellers all year around, spending longer time when visiting is of essence. We want families, groups of friends, and couples in all ages to see Norway as an attractive travel destination! Suppliers participating, and products offered should cover the above.
We will also encourage participants to set up 3 goals which they want this event should fulfill (examples: new programs, sustainable content, new activities, new contacts a.o)
Participants - buyers
We will invite tour operators, independent agents, niche operators and incoming operators to the event. Buyers participating, should be interested in adding more nights/experiences to their programs.
